evolved as a Bead Designer through the adoration of beads. Themes from Arizona are Rowena's primary inspiration as a Jewelry Designer. Off-Loom-Bead Weaving provides Rowena the canvas to paint with vintage buttons and beads, from all over the world. Colorful bottles and beads come with their own history. Beads created from recycled bottles represent the feelings associated with an occasion of celebration. Rowena still has a few of the lampwork beads she created at one time. She no longer does her own lampworking. Using Off-Loom-Bead Weaving has guided Rowena's bead design in new directions. Rowena was included in a documentary film about beads, 'The Bead Movement', by Wendy Simpson Conner, who also authored 'The Best Little Beading Book'. This film premiered in Beverly Hills and was up for an Academy Nomination. You can also find Rowena's bead work featured in Georgene Lockwood's two beading books. Georgene is a local Prescott Author.
